About Beckman Jewelers

Fourth generation jewelers, brothers Stan and Barney, work, live, and play in their hometown of Ottawa. They started in the jewelry business in high school by doing the basics; sweeping floors, performing jewelry repair, and engraving on the pantograph machine. The boys attended college and then pursued the study of the trade.

They had hands on training at the E.J. Swigart Jewelers’ School, completed correspondence courses instructed by the Gemological Institute of America, and also attend gem, diamond, & jewelry seminars and trade shows. Stan and Barney stay active in their community through participation in the Ottawa Area Chamber Commerce, Lions and Rotary Clubs, charitable events, and their churches.
